Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

While this is true, in The Autumnlands, familiars are quite common, working for not only witches but vampires, ghouls, the fey folk--really, anyone of a need and means to acquire one. This little bat fellow has obviously been in service to his elderly vampire master for many years. (Believe it or not, that is relaxed and informal body language for a vampire.) Yet one cannot help but wonder if the bat is merely fetching his master's fangs like a good familiar, or if he has perhaps exceeded his bounds and been caught wearing them instead.
